Each year the Art Directors Club of Metropolitan Washington (now the DC Creative Guild) allows creative members and non-members to enter their work into a juried competition. The winning entries are featured in a perfect-bound, softcover show catalog. The chewing gum theme was developed where a gumball machine served as a metaphor for the creative mind. While the creative process often begins simply, the multitude of ideas that ultimately result, grow, and stick becomes quite complex. A 100-page, perfect bound book was mailed to current members of the Club following an awards gala event.
